These terms cover the MacroTracker iOS app and basedmacrotracker.com. Using either means you accept them.
MacroTracker is not medical advice. It records what you tell it and does arithmetic on it. Calorie and macro figures — particularly those estimated from a photo by AI — are approximations and can be wrong. Do not use this app to manage a medical condition, and talk to a doctor or a registered dietitian before making significant changes to your diet. If you are pregnant, have an eating disorder, diabetes, kidney disease, or any condition affected by nutrition, seek professional advice rather than relying on this app.
You are responsible for keeping your password safe and for what happens under your account. One person per account.
If you signed up with a username rather than an email address, we have no way to verify who you are and therefore no way to reset your password or recover your account. Keep your password somewhere safe.
Food data comes from three places: what you type, the USDA FoodData Central database, and AI estimates from photographs. None is guaranteed accurate. AI estimates in particular are a best guess at a portion size from a picture, and should be treated as a starting point you correct, not a measurement.
Your meals, foods, photos, and lists remain yours. If you publish a food to the shared community library, you grant other users and us a licence to use, display, and modify that entry within the app. Community entries stay in the library if you delete your account, but are no longer attributed to you.
MacroTracker is provided as-is, without warranty of any kind. It is run by one developer. It may be unavailable, may lose data, and may be discontinued. Keep your own records of anything you cannot afford to lose.
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from your use of the app, including any health outcome, lost data, or lost profit. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you have paid us in the previous twelve months.
Delete your account at any time from Profile → Delete account; this is permanent. We may suspend or terminate an account that breaches these terms.
We may update these terms. Continued use after a change means you accept it.
